Primary Designer
Lina Fenequito attended Duke University, earning a degree in both computer science and visual arts. Upon graduating she
joined Americorps program, Public Allies where she worked as a youth coordinator for a youth outreach program in Chapel Hill, NC.
Through this experience she began to meld her passion for art with those for issues of social justice. Her next project was a
multimedia performance, which raised awareness of youth depression and suicide and prevention, a project which she collaborated on with
mental health activist group Synapse, the Durham Mental Health Center, as well as various adult and youth artists. In 2003 she attended Parsons
School of Design to pursue a graduate degree in Design and Technology where she tackled projects that addressed issues of racism, priviledge, and
building community through digital media. The Swap-O-Matic is her thesis project that will complete the graduate degree.
